Week 40
Week 40
Happy Due date!!! Since 40 weeks was the deadline your set for baby, you've probably already made sure the bassinet is made up, the car seat is installed and your hospital bag is by the door. Now, do some things you might have forgotten, like making sure your cell phone is charged and the car is filled with gas. Try not to stress, and rest assured that baby will arrive when she's ready- and your body will give you the right signals that it's time. In month nine, the average fetus is about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and measures about 18.9 to 20.19 inches.
Maternity Clothes? Yep, pretty much all the time.
Stretch marks? A few new popped up :(
Sleep? I have no clue what sleep is anymore.
Best moment this week? Mother's Day was nice and relaxing. We spent the day at my inlaw's house hanging out while the boys built a new swing set for the kids. We than enjoyed a delicious dinner at a local hibachi grill.
Food cravings? Nothing really
Gender: Little girl!!!
Belly button in or out? Flat
Movement? Yep, all the time and it is painful.
What I miss? Everything, I am
What I'm looking forward to: Finally meeting Miss Callie, I had my Dr. appointment today and I am 3 1/2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. It is just a waiting game at this point, they Dr.'s wont let me go past 41 1/2 weeks so I will definitely have her by NEXT weekend. Ugh, that seems so far away :( Today I am 40 weeks!!! Miss Callie can make her appearance anytime now!!

Week 39
Week 39
Are we there yet? You're probably feeling like you want to get this baby the heck our of you. We're not sure, but the impatience and discomfort many moms feel around 39 weeks (and beyond!) might be nature's way of getting your mentally prepared for delivery. Remember how freaked out you used to be about it? Now, at week 39 you probably don't want to be pregnant anymore!!! Baby keeps growing, despite being so crowded in there. She probably weighs around 6.2 to 9.2 pounds and measures about 18.9 to 20.9 inches.
Weight gain/loss: Up 13 pounds
Maternity Clothes? Yep, pretty much all the time.
Stretch marks? No new ones this week
Best moment this week? Spending Saturday walking around the Air and Space Museum with Michael, Austin, and some friends.
Gender: Little girl!!!
Belly button in or out? Flat
Milestones: Only 7 days to go!!!

Sleep? Austin is still walking up a few times a night, and I have been been having terrible hip pain from laying on my side. So sleep pretty much sucks!

Week 38
Week 38
Weight gain/loss: Up 11 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes, although I can still wear some athletic shorts and a few of Michael's t-shirts :)
Best moment this week? We had a busy week. Last Monday we bought a new car, installed the car seat base into my car, and I finished making the crib sheet.
Gender: Little girl!!!
Belly button in or out? Flat
Milestones: Only 14 days to go!!!
At 38 weeks, baby’s probably sitting pretty low in your pelvis, which
means she’s bumping into all kinds of nerves down there -- including some
pretty sensitive ones you might not know you had. Be on the lookout for
signs of labor, including contractions that come on stronger, at more
regular intervals. It could happen any day now --
or it might not be for a few weeks. Until then, try to relax!!! Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2
pounds. Her head is now about the same circumference as her abdomen. She may have about an inch or so of hair already, and she's slowly shedding that white goo on her skin (called vernix caseosa) but you might see some of it at birth
Weight gain/loss: Up 11 pounds

Stretch marks?
No new ones this week
Sleep? Averaging about 3 hours a night.

What I'm looking forward to: In all honestly I am at the point where I am done being pregnant. I am super uncomfortable all the time. On a brighter note, a good friend of mine is flying into town this weekend. I am hoping Michael, Austin, and I can drive down to D.C. to see her and her family.

Baltimore Zoo
A few weeks back our neighbors invited us to go with them and a few others to the Baltimore Zoo. I jumped at the chance to go, since Austin LOVES animals and I knew he would have a great time hanging out with Titus and the other kids. I was right the boys had so much fun running around, looking at the animals, sharing their snacks, and playing in the mulch/dirt.
