Christmas Day 2012

This year was our best Christmas yet. Not only was it Callie's first Christmas, but Austin really enjoyed himself. Christmas Eve Austin to was too excited to sleep, I don't think he fell asleep until 10:30 and was up by 7 am. Thankfully I was able to lay in bed with him until 7:45 than we got Daddy up. Callie was still sleeping, so we let Austin play with his gifts from Santa until she woke up. Judging from the amount of gifts under our tree, our kids must have been extremely good this year. We are truly blessed to have so many people love and spoil our kids as much as we do.

Christmas Eve 2012

Before we went to my inlaws for Christmas Eve dinner, I shared one of my family traditions with Callie and Austin by allowing them to open presents from my Mom's side of the family.

Elfie the Elf  seemed to have a lot of fun while he was visiting us. That silly elf showed up in the sillies spots this year. Here are a few of Austin's favorite spots.

Gingerbread House Playdate

One of the activities on our advent calendar was to have a play date and decorate gingerbread houses. I bought these cute gingerbread village kits that included 4 little houses, candy, and icing. They were perfect for the kids since they were small  and fairly easy for them (mom's) to put together. We had a great time with good food and company, lots of laughs, and tired kids afterwards. Thank you Bethany for hosting all of us!!
