2 Years Ago...

I said "I do" to my best friend in front of our family and friends in fabulous Las Vegas. I am so proud to call him mine. He is a wonderful husband and an even better father to Austin. I am one lucky girl.

10 Months Already

Dear Austin,

This has been such a fun month with you. You are growing up to be such a little strong headed little man who is full of personality. My oh my how you are developing a little temper too! When you don't want to do something or you don't like something, you throw yourself on the floor and starting crying and screaming. It can be quite embarrassing, especially when you want to do it in public. Even though you have a temper for the most part you are a very happy little man. Like I do every month lets take a look at what you have been up too...

• Walking!!! There is no stopping you
  
• Still no interest in sleeping at night
• You are starting to eat table food with Daddy and I, cheese and peaches are your favorite right now.
  
• Love being outside, I think your favorite part of the day is when go outside and sit under the tree and wait for Daddy to come home. (Hopefully it is Daddy's favorite part of the day too)
• Your favorite toys these days are trucks, cars and balls. You and Daddy can play catch for hours and you never get tired of throwing the ball around.

Mommy can't believe that it has already been 10 months since we brought you home from the hospital. I love you little man.

Water Baby

The temperature has gradually started getting hotter here the past few weeks. Yesterday it was in the 90's and the hot, humid and sticky heat is suppose to be staying for a while. So yesterday Austin and I loaded up the care and headed out for a little trip to Walmart to pick up a swimming pool. I was a little weary as to whether or not he was going to like it since he is not a fan of water. Weird I know! While he wasn't splashing and playing as much he still seemed to enjoy it.

Our master bath was an absolute eye sore when we bought our house. Thanks to the hard work of my father in law it has been transformed into a beautiful little retreat. Every single thing in this bathroom except the bathtub is brand new; floor, shower tile, vanity and counter-top, mirror, light fixture, sink and shower faucets, towel bars. Everything, and I love it!!! Like every room it is still a work in progress. The bathroom is so small and storage is a big issue. I still want to get some kind of cabinet to hang above the toilet, and I need some new bath rugs, and new hand towels that compliment the shower curtain.

Mother's Day...

We spent Mother's Day at Port Discovery in the Inner Harbor. Port Discovery is a wonderful hands-on childrens museum. Austin was a little young for most of the slides and activity but was very happy beating on the drums, chasing the soccer ball on the indoor field, and climbing through the tunnels. It was a great spending the day with my guys. It is so amazing how much joy Austin brings to our lives, I am so lucky to call this little boy my son.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Michael and I bought a house right after Austin was born. We actually closed exactly 2 weeks after Michael was born. When we bought the house we thought it only needed a few changes and minor improvements but boy were we wrong. Once Michael and my father in law, Mike, got to work we found out that this house was beyond disgusting, and would need a complete overall. Michael and Mike worked every weekend for 5 months straight to get the house to be livable. I cant
thank them enough for all the blood sweat and tears that went into this house. It is still not done, but it is slowly coming along.

Every week I will post before and after pictures of a different room in our house. I will start this week by posting the building itself.

Young Love

A couple weeks ago Austin and I had the pleasure of meeting one of my best friends new baby girl Siena. She is absolutely adorable even though she slept the whole time we were there. We were all quite smitten.
