3 Years Ago Today....

Another year has come and gone. It is hard to believe that 3 years ago we were standing in front of our family and friends saying "I Do". It has been a great 3 years Michael, I fall in love with you a little more each day. Thank you for being such an amazing husband and father. I love you!!!

Duck Pond

A few days ago we took Austin to the duck pond for the first time. He was super excited and ran right to the water screaming duck, duck duck. I, on the other hand, hated every minute of being there. I have a great fear of geese and ducks, when I was younger I was chased around a golf course by a gaggle of geese. Ever since then I have hated all geese and ducks. I conquered my fears and ended up having a nice time watching the geese. We will definitely be heading back to this little pond...

Austin got chalk in his Easter basket this year and we are just now breaking out it. He still doesn't like it as much as his crayons or markers, but I think he had a good time. The only downside is we don't have a driveway for him to color on so we have to go upstairs which can be a pain, because he gets easily distracted by the cars.

Farmers Market

Last Sunday we headed down to the Baltimore Farmers Market and it was awesome. We were both a little skeptical because it is located under a highway in downtown Baltimore. However when we got there we were shocked to see all the vendors and people walking around. There were locally farms, creameries, butchers, bakeries, florists, gardeners, etc... In addition to all the local produce and flowers you could buy there were a dozen or so local artisians selling clothes, house goods, jewelry, photography, etc. There were also a bunch a food trucks selling everything from crepes, to kabobs, to omelets.

We shared a ham and cheese omelet while down there and Austin enjoyed 20 or so fresh strawberries that I bought. Austin was in sensory overload, he loved every single minute of it. We left with quarts of strawberries, onions, apples, kettle corn and a loaf of fresh bread.

A Labor of Love?!?!?!

No, more like a Love/Hate relationship

When we first bought our condo back in July 2009, our little cut out window between the kitchen and hallway looked like this...


When Michael demolished the kitchen 1 1/2 years ago we didn't know what to put there so we left it bare drywall, wood and all...

Michael and I have gone back and forth for close to a year trying to decided what to put there, and finally decided that we would put a butcher block top on. Thus began Michael's love/hate relationship with the wood, stain, sanding, and everything else that goes along with making it look nice.

Double Trouble

Meet Titus, he is our next door neighbor and Austin's new best friend. These two are pretty much inseparable these days. First thing in the morning Austin asks to play with "Ty-Ty", after nap times he asks to play with "Ty-Ty". Thankfully they get along great, because they play with each other very day for at least 2 hours. We are still working on sharing with each other, but that is for another post on another day :)
