Mommy and Her Babies

Callie at 6 Months

Age: 6 months old

Weight: 14.1 pounds  15th percentile

Height: 25 inches  23rd percentile

Head Circumference:  42.25 cm  44th percentile

Clothing: She is completely out of 3 months now, and wearing 3-6 month sleepers, and mostly 6 month clothing even though they are still pretty big on her. She is in a size 2 diaper and 2-3 overnight diaper.

Sleeping: It is definitely not getting any better. She goes down anywhere from 8:00-9:00 at night, and usually wakes around 1:30 am to eat, than again at 4:30 am. However when she wakes up at 4:30 she doesn't go right back down, she usually stays awake until 6:30 playing, talking, crying. Once she goes back down, she will usually sleep until aound 8:00, never past it though. I put her down for a nap at the same time every day, but the length that she sleep varies from day to day. She goes down at 10:30, 1:30, and than again at 5:30. Some days each nap is only 45 mins, other days I am lucky and they last 2 hours (those are rare though)

Eating Habits: We began solids this month!! We start  with organic brown rice, 2 days before she turned 6 months. She loved it, she actually cried because I wasn't feeding her enough. Milk intake has gone up a bit as well. She is still eating every 2-3 hours, taking in anywhere from 4-6 ounces at a time. At night she usually gets around 6 ounces before bedtime, than 4 ounces for each night feeding.

Favorite Activity: Watching a playing with Austin. She absolutely adores her big brother, no one can make her light up like him.

Milestones: She has master rolling over from her back to tummy, and is almost a master at rolling tummy to back. She is great now at grasping and holding onto items. Once she has a hold of something it usually goes straight for her mouth. Her newest milestone is sitting up unassisted. She is still wobbly at times, but she is getting much stronger and more confident in her abilities.

Updates: Lets see, we celebrated her first Thanksgiving, and she is now officially a half year old. Nothing else to report.

Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving at my inlaws again this year. It was unseasonably warm this year, 70 degrees, and we all took full advantage of it. Michael was able to fry the turkey out back in a t-shirt, instead of being bundled up in the garage like most years. Austin, Briana, and Kat spent most of the day playing out back. Between the swing set out back, and breaking out Uncle Steve's old Chevron cars, Austin was in pure heaven. It was a day filled with great food and family. Hope everyone else had just as good a day.

Back in Business with Some Picture to Share

Thankfully it didn't take me long to find another way to upload pictures to the blog.

While we were in Texas last month, a family friends was gracious enough to take some pictures of the kids. I just received some pictures her and I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to see the rest of them when I receive the CD this week.

Apologies

I am sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks. Apparently I have reached my photo storage limit with Blogger and I either need to figure out a different way to upload pictures or pay for additional storage. I have had a few friends recommend various approaches, so when I figure out what will work best for me I will be back up and running.

Pineapple Head

To say that Callie's hair is out of control is an understatement. It is getting so long that hair clips are no longer cutting it. So I started pulling her hair up in a ponytail. I think she looks absolutely adorable with her little pineapple hair-do.

Tasty Toes

Within the last few weeks Callie has not only discovered her feet but she has figured out they can be quite tasty.

A Boy and His Cars

During nap time the other day I came across the cutest picture of a little boy surrounded by his cars. I hoped to recreate the same thing with Austin. So we carefully arranged some of his cars around his head and started snapping away.
