Dear Austin,

I can't believe you are already 1 month old. It seems like only yesterday Daddy and I were on our way to the hospital. We had so many emotions going through us that day, we were both filled with excitement and fear. I know that I was scared that I wouldn't know what to do and I wouldn't be a good mommy to you.

You are laying here next to me and I can't believe how much I love you. I am in complete awe every time I look at you. Daddy and I often look and each and can't believe that you are ours. It is kind of scary though. We are responsible for you for the rest of your life. You look to us for everything. That is a BIG responsibility but we are up for the challenge.

I know every mother hopes for their child to become a doctor or a lawyer. I just hope that you are happy in whatever you decide to become. I want you to be a honest, caring person. But do Mommy a favor and try not to grow up to fast. I am really enjoying everyday I have with you. I know that you wont be little for much longer so I am trying to cherish each day.

1 Month Ago...

I cannot believe that it has already been 1 month since I gave birth to my precious baby boy. It seems like just yesterday I found out that I was pregnant. Man time really does fly. Here are a few pictures that we took tonight. I love you little man!!!

Acid Reflux

So I took Austin to the Dr.'s this morning because he has been extremely fussy the past few days, and seemed to develop a stuffy nose and cough. The Dr. asked me a bunch of questions about how he has been eating and I filled out a little questionnaire about his recent habits. After talking for a few minutes the Dr. diagnosed him with acid reflux. He has been put on Zantac twice a day, and I have to start thickening his food with Beechnut cereal. In addition to those things, I need to keep him up right as much as possible by carrying him around in a front carrier. Thank goodness my sister got me a Baby Bjorn for my shower. I also need to keep him up right for at least 30 minutes after each feeding. That is going to be torture during those night feedings. But I will do anything to make him feel more comfortable. It absolutely breaks my heart to see him in pain.

Oh yeah, my little chunky monkey is now weighing 10.2 lbs!!!
